About ASEAN IVO Forum 2026

ASEAN IVO Forum 2026 will provide every researcher in the ASEAN region and Japan the opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss R&D topics and coordinate projects. Anyone is welcome to apply.

Submission

Any researcher who works for an institution located in the ASEAN region or Japan can make a submission to the forum.

Travel and Accommodation

Round-trip discount economy class flight ticket and hotel accommodation will be provided by NICT for selected speakers if desired. Please select and check the box for support on submission page if you would like to receive support.
* Please note that speakers who work for Japanese institutions in Japan, or speakers from non-ASEAN countries (including Japan) are not supported.

Review and Selection

1. Two speakers from each country are selected to present under NICT’s travel and accommodation support, if the submission has passed the evaluation.
2. Speakers who wish to present at their own expense are also welcome. Please inform the secretariat when you submit your abstract.
3. Approved presentations and their materials will be published on the ASEAN IVO website.
4. Presentation speakers are expected to cooperate with NICT for administrative procedures.
5. If you are selected as a speaker and your institution is not a member of ASEAN IVO, we encourage your institution to become a member. However, it is not mandatory. Your institution must be a member when you apply as a project leader for the Call for Proposals.
6. If a presenter at the Forum applies as a project leader for the Call for Proposals, additional points will be awarded at the time of the proposal evaluation.

Presentation materials availability

1. All presentation materials are accessible through this website, which is available for anyone if you have an ASEAN IVO account.
2. On the website for presentation materials, a talk room is provided to participants in order to communicate with the presenter. Everyone can access the presentation materials and post questions or comments to the presenter for discussion, including if you missed joining the forum in person.
3. The presenter will respond to the questions or comments written by participants, discuss with each other, and form your team to apply for a new project next year.
4. Presentation materials cannot be updated once the submission deadline has passed. This includes at the forum venue, as staff are too busy coordinating the event to provide support in updating your files. Please make sure you submit the final version before the deadline.
5. Presentation materials will be posted on the website from November 17, 2026.
